Mother Turned Grandmother With Son's Semen

An Indian grieved mother, Rajashree Patil, who lost her only child, a son, over a year now, became a grandmother with the help of her son's semen that was preserved in Germany for the past 8-years.

According to reports, the son's semen was fused with the eggs of a donor to form embryos and then transferred into the womb of a surrogate mother.

The surrogate mother reportedly gave birth to a set of twins a boy and a girl, in Pune a southwestern city in India, thus bringing  joy and happiness to the grandmother.

Mrs Patil's son was said to have gone to Germany in 2010 to pursue higher studies when he was  diagnosed with brain tumor.
