A lawyer identified as, Aaron Schlossberg, who was filmed ranting in a restaurant and threatening to call Immigration officers on two female employees because they spoke Spanish (read here), has been kicked out from office space his law practice was in.
He has also had a complaint filed against him with a disciplinary committee that oversees lawyers in the state.
Aaron's brief rant was captured on video and it went viral. In it, he was telling the women that his country feeds and accommodates them, therefore the least they can do is speak English. He then threatened to call Immigration and Customs Enforcement to have the workers "kicked out of my country."
After the video went viral, he was thrown out of the office building where he practiced as a lawyer.
Aaron’s former office building management said:
"We have terminated his services agreement with us, his actions are just not consistent with our community and rules and regulations … It’s totally contrary to everything we believe in as a company and personally."
Along with getting kicked out of his office building, Aaron’s online reviews have fallen, meaning, he might find it hard getting a job as a lawyer.
In addition, the viral video prompted two elected officials to send a letter to the disciplinary committee on Thursday. U.S. Rep. Adriano Espaillat and Bronx Borough President Ruben Diaz Jr. wrote to New York state’s court system, which has a grievance committee for attorney complaints. It is unclear what action the disciplinary committee could take, if any.
Moreso, Aaron can no longer walk the streets of New York in peace. Paparazzi have been following him around, harassing him, and he has been filmed multiple times running from them.
