President Muhammadu Buhari was pictured smiling at the signing of the Bilateral Agreement for the construction of Hydrocarbon Pipeline from the Republic of Niger to Nigeria and a new oil refinery, amidst the mass defection affecting his party APC.
He was there with the Minister of State of Petroleum Resources, Ibe Kachikwu in a successful meeting his Nigerien counterparts, President Mahamadou Issoufou and his cabinet member.
The seeming mood of President Buhari is not reflective of the diminishing fortunes of his party at the national assembly where it lost 15 senators and 37 House of Representatives members to the Peoples' Democratic Party and the newly formed African Democratic Congress, ADC.
